About Hannes Becker
Hannes was born in Augsburg, Germany. At the age of 3, he and his family immigrated into the United States and landed in Los Angeles. He went thru the school system thru high school there,then moved back to Germany again. In Austria, he completed high school and one and a half years at the university in Graz. Being done with schooling and wanting to work, he landed a job in Karlsruhe, Germany working for the United States Army in the civilian personnel office and USDESEA. The United States Army benefitted from his employment since he is fluent in both English and German. In 1974, he came back to the United States and decided that this would be his home. Of all the countries that he had visited up to that time period, his heart belonged to the American people. In 1978 he married the love of his life, that he had known since he was 8 years old. Together they had 3 great children. Soon thereafter, he applied for citizenship and became an American. In 1994 he and his family moved to Humboldt County and this has been his home of all homes since. His joy was temporarily placed on hold when his brother, Robert Becker, died suddenly. Thru much support from this community, he regained his joy and decided to give back to his community by becoming a member of the Fortuna Volunteer Fire Department, United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, singing in the Ferndale Community Choir as well as Six Rivers Choral Artists. His passions are sailing, freediving, hiking and being around people. His motto for life is: "The closer to the edge, the better the view". His activities are not limited to, but also include church related functions as well as giving compliments where compliments are due (which is rather continuous), since he finds something good about everyone he meets. As a realtor, he continues to make friends and earns the trust and confidence from those he serves.
